The 2010 Chevrolet Grand Sport is hardly a low-volume specialty model though it could be a streetable racer. Available in roadster and removable-roof coupe body styles, with a choice of six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission, it is essentially a Z06 in body and suspension, minus the aluminum frame. Since 1953, the Chevrolet Corvette has been a household name in the world of high-powered sports cars with big-bore engines and throaty exhaust notes. The original Corvette design, codenamed "C1," changed the car industry forever.

With 500 horsepower, GM says the 2006 Corvette Z06 is the fastest, most powerful car ever offered by the automaker. The car can zip from 0 to 60 miles per hour in less than four seconds and fly through the quarter-mile in less than 12 seconds with a top speed of more than 190 mph on a racetrack. Derived from Chevy's successful Corvette racing program, the ZO6 has an all-new chassis that replaces the conventional car's steel parts with lightweight aluminum, magnesium and carbon fiber.
